Megan Manne Photography was born in 2011, but my love for photography started long before that.
As a little girl, I could sit for hours flipping through photographs, completely lost in them. I was drawn to the way a single image could hold emotion, connection, and memory all at once. Even then, I understood that photography wasn’t just about images—it was about storytelling, about preserving moments that matter long after they’ve passed.
For more than fourteen years, I’ve had the honor of capturing some of life’s most meaningful seasons. From wedding days filled with love and anticipation, to growing families, newborns, senior portraits, and everything in between, my work has always centered on documenting real moments in an honest, natural way. As a lifestyle photographer, my goal has always been to create images that feel genuine, emotional, and timeless—photographs that bring you right back to how it felt.
The heart of my business has always been the people. My clients have trusted me with moments they’ll never get back, and that trust means everything to me. Their gratitude, support, and belief in my work have shaped Megan Manne Photography into what it is today.
And still… imposter syndrome has always lived quietly in the background.
For years, I compared myself to photographers online with perfectly curated feeds and polished lives that felt impossible to live up to. My real life didn’t look like that, and I convinced myself my photography business should stay small. I treated it like a hobby, even though my heart wanted more—more growth, more creativity, and more confidence in the work I was already doing.
This year feels different.
I’ve been unlearning perfectionism and people-pleasing, and I’m learning that meaningful photography doesn’t come from being flawless. It comes from being real. From showing up honestly and letting connection lead the way.
So this is me taking the leap.
This is me stepping fully into Megan Manne Photography as a wedding, family, and senior photographer who values authenticity over trends and connection over comparison. This is me embracing the work I’ve been doing all along—documenting love, growth, milestones, and the in-between moments that make life beautiful.
