There are some people who come into your life for short seasons. Life ebbs and flows for all of us as we navigate transitions in our relationships and careers. By all accounts, Taryn should be a "short season friend." We were teammates my first year teaching third grade, but we honestly didn't get that much time together because she was on maternity leave for half of the year with sweet Paisley (who's now the big sister of three!). Taryn then found out she was pregnant with Lucy and made the decision to stay at home with her babies. So naturally, this old mom of teenagers and this young mom with littles probably wouldn't stay connected. However, I'm so glad to tell you that's not our story. Through coffee dates and walks and texts, Taryn's friendship is woven throughout my life since that first year teaching together. I absolutely love her and this family she and Noah are creating together and feel so honored to 1) get to witness it in real life and 2) get to capture it on my camera. We had the most beautiful morning in the most beautiful spot where I love to photograph families - their home. I'm so grateful for these long season friends.
